Primary Responsibilities:


  • Leads the team responsible for ensuring that the Business responds in an effective and appropriate manner in the event of any significant crisis
  • Accountable for developing the standards & procedures for business continuity & crisis management across the airline
  • Responsible for the ongoing development and capability of the Crisis Management Team
  • Designated Emergency Response Manager responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the corporate Emergency Response Plan as per regulatory standards
  • Represent the airline pertaining to Internal and External Audits, Conferences on topics related to Emergency Response, Crisis Management
  • Oversee the Family Assistance Center group and Go Team during an emergency
  • Provides expertise and general guidance in the areas of business continuity & crisis management
  • Ensures all business continuity & crisis management plans and manuals are in place, effective and regularly tested – in line with recognized operational risks
  • Proactively monitors and analyses any developing situations, which may cause disruption to the network operation, such as security issues or industrial action, and provides specialist guidance and plans when required
  • Manage relationships with external agencies (emergency services, airport authorities) so that CEB’s’ interests are protected and expectations in emergency situations are understood and respected. 
  • Responsible for readiness of Crisis Management Centre and other CMT/BCP facilities
  • Act as a Deputy Chairman whenever there is an activation of a Crisis Management Team Meeting
  • Act as an Operations Planning Group Chairman whenever there are forecasted or foreseen disruptions
  • Undertaking work on behalf of Director for Operations Planning and Readiness as required


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years relevant work experience (previous experience in risk management, BCP, Crisis management would be an advantage)
